King of Prussia, PA

King of Prussia is a wonderful community located in Upper Merion Township, Pennsylvania. Named after King Frederick II of Prussia, the community is the perfect mix of history and modernity. Located less than an hour from Philadelphia, King of Prussia’s population stands at just under 20,000 people, while the town itself encompasses eight and a half square miles. Homes in King of Prussia vary greatly, with multimillion dollar mansions, single family homes, and apartment complexes all available in the community. On average, most homes sell for around $320,000, with prices steadily rising over the last five years. Most schools in King of Prussia are part of the Upper Merion School District, which is comprised of seven schools in total. King of Prussia’s schools are highly rated in the area, with Candlebrook Elementary being considered one of the finest elementary schools in the state. The community’s high school, Upper Merion Area High School, has an excellent reputation in the area, with current students and alumni alike praising the school’s diverse extracurricular offerings.

One of King of Prussia’s greatest assets is its incredible shopping district. The community is home to the King of Prussia Mall, the largest shopping complex in the United States. Among the over four hundred fantastic shops in the King of Prussia Mall are high-end retailers, including Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Lord & Taylor. Restaurants in the shopping center such as Cheesecake Factory and Capital Grille are also very popular with families in the community. King of Prussia is further known nationwide for its historical attractions. Notably, the community is home to Valley Forge National Historical Park. Valley Forge is where George Washington’s Continental Army spent the cold winter of 1777 to 1778, and where the army was forged into a powerful fighting force. In addition to the American Revolution attractions, visitors to Valley Forge are also enamored by the location’s diverse wildlife, with deer, foxes, and even bald eagles being seen in the park.
